INDESIGN SETTING
When creating your document, make sure you are in Print mode. Put 5 mm in Bleed (More Options Menu > Bleed).
When your document is finished, export it (File menu > Export) in Adobe PDF format (printing) by checking the box for Cuts (Cues and bleeds > Cuts)
PHOTOSHOP ADJUSTMENT
When creating your file, add 1cm (to get 5mm on each edge) to the final size of your document.
Then create markers (View menu > New marker) and enter the horizontal and vertical measurements in millimetres (mm).
The markers will allow you to see a preview of your document as it will look when finished. Be careful to respect a safety margin by not putting any important elements within 5 mm of the markers. To finish, save your document (File>Save as) in Adobe PDF format without changing any of the settings.
ILLUSTRATOR SETTING
Create your document in the format and add 5 mm of bleed (More Options menu > Bleed)
When your document is finished, export it (menu File > Export) in Adobe PDF format (printing) by checking the box for Cuts ( Cues and Bleeds > Cuts)
Digital printing is ideal for :

Laminating encapsulates your poster between two thin sheets of plastic film to protect it and give it a pronounced qualitative appearance.
It is possible to choose from different options:
ASPECT
Matte - the most elegant
Glossy - the most impactful
EDGES
Welded edges: The most resistant. The laminating sheets protrude from the poster and are welded together, making the poster waterproof even on the edge.
Sharp edges: The laminating sheets stop at the same point as the poster. It is protected from water but not on the edge.
Laminating is a technique that allows a poster to be glued to a rigid support. The final result is very qualitative.

The different papers available to embellish your poster
You have chosen to have a custom-made poster printed by a professional printer like COPYMAGE: this is your opportunity to embellish it and make it completely unique by carefully choosing the paper on which your visual will be printed. For this purpose, we offer you different weights:
- 135g paper: this is the thinnest of the range and therefore the most economical. It is very flexible and therefore ideal for internal use and will need to be framed for hanging.
- 170g paper: slightly thicker than 135g, this paper offers a better hold while remaining ideal for a framed poster.
- 240g paper: semi-rigid, this paper is perfect for posters that are to be hung without a frame using adhesive fasteners, on a temporary basis.
- 300g paper: the highest quality paper available, it offers a very high quality finish and allows the poster to remain in place for a long time without bending.
To ensure that every professional can have a customised poster printed that corresponds exactly to their project, all our papers are available in matt or glossy versions. Modern and sophisticated, the matt version offers a more upmarket look, while the glossy version provides excellent colour rendition for a brighter result.
Customisation and protection options
To make your customised poster even more personalised and adapted to your wishes, you can apply several finishes, such as laminating. This option, which consists of adding a very thin plastic film to your poster, allows you to reinforce it while changing its final appearance: glossy, matt or soft-touch (peach skin effect).
Do you want to highlight a particular element? Then the selective varnish option is the one you should choose. With standard or 3D selective varnish, an extra layer of varnish is applied only to the area of your choice: text, image or logo. This area will be highlighted or raised by the varnish, making it more visible.
Do you want to make your custom-made poster more rigid so that it lasts longer or can be handled without the risk of damage? In this case, we advise you to turn to laminating, which consists of laminating your poster on a rigid support a few millimetres thick (foam, PVC, Alu Dibond) in order to make it solid and resistant.
Laminating is a procedure widely used in the printing industry to make media and documents more durable by enclosing them between two thin plastic sheets. Practical and economical, this option makes the custom-made poster more resistant to humidity, dust and handling. It is an option often used for the creation of information sheets or menus, for example.
Good to know: in addition to its protective aspect, lamination also allows you to personalise the media, particularly thanks to these edges. You can choose between sharp edges, which stop exactly at the edge of the poster and are therefore more aesthetic, although less protective, or welded edges, which protrude from the poster and provide your poster with a perfectly hermetic protection.
