Before starting your photo printing, you must determine the type of paper you want to use, knowing that this choice will have a direct impact on the final result.
- If you want to showcase brightly colored shots, we suggest that you use a glossy paper.
- To obtain a support which will limit the reflections, we advise you to opt for a satin paper.
- A matte paper will bring depth and intensity to your photo prints.
At Copymage, your photo printing can be done on a variety of paper weights:
- A 170 g/m2 paper offers a certain flexibility in handling.
- A 190 g/m2 paper is categorized as semi-rigid. At Copymage, we offer it in satin or glossy.
- A 240 g/m2 paper falls into the category of rigid papers. It offers a nice hold to your photo prints and is available in satin or glossy.

The photo poster

At Copymage, we offer three standard formats for designing your posters from photo prints:

Decorative photography
Large format photo printing allows you to create high-end decorative elements for your store or professional office. At Copymage, we offer you theprinting on plexiglass to enhance all your photographs whether they were taken by a professional photographer or by yourself with your cell phone.
Many formats are available for printing your decorative photographs. At Copymage, we suggest you choose among the large formats (A0, A1 and A2) to enhance your creation. Of course, you can also ask us for a custom print in the format of your choice.
You can choose between 3 thicknesses of Plexiglas: 3 mm, 5 mm or 8 mm. The thickness of the Plexiglas sheet influences the rendering (depth and intensity of colors) and impacts the rigidity of your decorative photograph. The larger your photo print, the more we recommend choosing a thicker sheet in order to obtain a high-end photo print.

- The lamination gives volume to your photo print while increasing its rigidity. It allows for wall mounting without framing. At Copymage, we can laminate your photo print on a foam, aluminum dibond or PVC Forex support.
- Laminating protects your photo print from UV rays, moisture, impacts, scratches or folds. When laminating on both sides you can choose to weld the edges - which will make your photo print perfectly waterproof - or to keep the edges sharp - which offers a more aesthetic result.

How to hang a photo print?
Once made, your photo print can be hung in different ways depending on how you want to use it.
- You can have your photo print framed. This is a classic solution. If you have your photo printed in standard sizes, you can easily find ready-made frames in the shops.
- At Copymage, we offer to laminate your photo print on foam, aluminum Dibond or PVC Forex. This solution gives rigidity and volume to your photo print and allows you to mount it on the wall without framing.
- You can also place your photo print on an easel - provided that the paper and finishes you choose give it great rigidity and durability.
The weight and size of your photo print does have an impact on the possible hanging methods:
- For a light lamination, you can use simple adhesive hooks without any problem.
- For a heavier lamination (plexi or aluminum) or if you have framed your photo print, we advise you to use hangers with rivets.
- If you choose to print on Plexiglass, at Copymage we offer an optional metal mounting kit consisting of 2 adhesive metal fasteners. The metal clamps are equipped with a self-adhesive film that allows you to easily attach them to the back of your Plexiglass print.
How do you make a print on Plexiglas?
- We receive your photograph and check that its resolution is suitable for the print size you have chosen.
- We start the photo printing directly on the back of a Plexiglas plate of which you have previously selected the thickness (3, 5 or 8 mm).
- We apply a thick, even layer of white to the entire back surface of the photograph to support the colors and enhance the contrast.
- If you wish, we add to your order a kit composed of 2 adhesive metal fasteners that will allow you to easily hang your photo print on the wall.
