INDESIGN SETTING
When creating your document, make sure you are in Print mode. Put 5 mm in Bleed (More Options Menu > Bleed).
When your document is finished, export it (File menu > Export) in Adobe PDF format (printing) by checking the box for Cuts (Cues and bleeds > Cuts)
PHOTOSHOP ADJUSTMENT
When creating your file, add 1cm (to get 5mm on each edge) to the final size of your document.
Then create markers (View menu > New marker) and enter the horizontal and vertical measurements in millimetres (mm).
The markers will allow you to see a preview of your document as it will look when finished. Be careful to respect a safety margin by not putting any important elements within 5 mm of the markers. To finish, save your document (File>Save as) in Adobe PDF format without changing any of the settings.
ILLUSTRATOR SETTING
Create your document in the format and add 5 mm of bleed (More Options menu > Bleed)
When your document is finished, export it (menu File > Export) in Adobe PDF format (printing) by checking the box for Cuts ( Cues and Bleeds > Cuts)

Laminating encapsulates your poster between two thin sheets of plastic film to protect it and give it a pronounced qualitative appearance.

ASPECT
Matte - the most elegant

EDGES
Welded edges: The most resistant. The laminating sheets protrude from the poster and are welded together, making the poster waterproof even on the edge.
Sharp edges: The laminating sheets stop at the same point as the poster. It is protected from water but not on the edge.
Laminating is a technique that allows a poster to be glued to a rigid support. The final result is very qualitative.

The different formats and papers for poster printing

Once you have decided on the size of your poster, you can then consider which paper to choose. The different papers and weights that we offer for express poster printing are as follows:
- 135g paper: the thinnest and most economical of all, this paper is ideal for creating a poster for framing.
- 170g paper: thicker than the previous one, it will be slightly more resistant but will lend itself perfectly to framing.
- 240g paper: semi-rigid, this paper will allow you to hang your poster directly on the wall without it getting damaged or folded.
- 300g paper: more upmarket than the others, this paper offers a higher quality finish while being semi-rigid and therefore very resistant.
Whichever paper you choose when ordering your express poster, you will have the option of choosing between a matte and a glossy version. What information must be included on a poster?
Like many communication media, posters are subject to rules that you must respect when printing them in order to avoid a possible fine. To make sure you don't make any mistakes, we advise you to check with the municipality in which your business is located about the rules to follow, particularly in terms of posting. As for the legal information to be added directly to your poster, here are some essential points:
- Your company name or business name
- Your companyaddress
- The name andaddress of the printer
- Any specific references to your sector of activity (consume in moderation, regular physical activity, etc.).
Good to know: if you use foreign words or expressions, especially in English, a translation must appear on your visual.
How to prepare the file for printing?
After being printed, your express poster will be cut to the chosen dimensions using a cutter. To avoid having part of your design cut off, we recommend that you allow for 5mm bleed around the entire perimeter of your design. It is also advisable to avoid placing text or an element such as a logo within 3mm of the inner edge of your design.
To prevent your poster from being blurred when printed, it is best to use graphics with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, especially if you want to print an express poster in a format larger than A4. Also remember to vectorise the fonts so that the text areas can be enlarged easily while remaining perfectly clear. Finally, your file should be sent in PDF format to prevent any elements from moving.
