How can you personalise your online catalogue printing with COPYMAGE?

At COPYMAGE, we know that every catalogue is a different project because every customer is unique. To meet all your expectations, we offer you a wide range of options to customise the printing of your catalogue according to your needs.

The format of your catalogue print

  • The A4 format is the most commonly used for booklet printing, but nothing prevents you from choosing a smaller A5 format. It will be practical for small product catalogues that you want to take everywhere with you and slip into a bag.
  • A square format will have more originality and is well suited to printing a fashion or art catalogue.
  • You can choose a portrait or "French" orientation, which is the most classic because the binding is on the long side, perfect for catalogues with a lot of information and text.
  • Landscape or Italian orientation is ideal if your catalogue printing project includes a lot of large images as the binding is on the short side. Perfect for a book or portfolio for example. This format will offer greater freedom in the layout and greater immersion for the reader.

The weight of the paper for printing your catalogue

For the cover, we recommend a 350g semi-rigid paper with a matt or glossy finish, depending on the desired effect, with a very smooth texture. This paper weight will give your catalogue a very good hold, optimal protection and will convey a high-end image. You can also opt for a more matt 300g paper with a slight texture that will make your catalogue more luxurious and pleasant to the touch.

For the inside pages of your catalogue, you can opt for a weight of 115 to 135 g, depending on the desired appearance. If the objective is to send it by postal mailing, choose a light weight to lighten your document

Coverage

We recommend 2 types of paper for the cover:

  • A 350g coated paper that is very smooth with a choice of matt or glossy lamination for superior quality and optimal protection of your catalogue cover.
  • A more matt 300g paper with a slight texture that will make your catalogue more luxurious and pleasant to the touch.

Interior

We recommend 3 types of paper for the inside of your catalogue:

  • a standard 115g matte or glossypaper
  • 135gcoated paper , very smooth, matt or glossy.
  • 120g paper , very matt and slightly textured.

Printing on Cyclus recycled paper is also possible. This paper allows you to respect your environmental commitments. The cover is printed on 300g paper while the inside of the catalogue is printed on 115g paper.

Finishing options for your online catalogue printing

COPYMAGE offers you the possibility to customise the finish with different options when printing your catalogue online.

The binding of your catalogues is known as the glued square back binding. In concrete terms, the process used by COPYMAGE is as follows: after printing, we group and trim the pages. We then glue them onto the soft cover which wraps the book to give it rigidity and protection. We use a PUR glue which ensures a very strong adhesion of the pages and a very long life for your catalogue, no matter how many times it is used.

You can also opt for lamination on the cover to increase the attractiveness of your catalogue. There are three options for your booklet printing:

  • Matte lamination for a modern and sober look
  • Glossy lamination to enhance colours and visuals
  • Soft touch lamination, also called "soft touch" or "peach skin" to soften the feel of the document

Advantages of glued square back binding

The design of your sales brochure by COPYMAGE ensures a superb and high quality result because the glued square back brochures are glued on the inside. This binding system provides flexibility and strength, especially for the cover. The PUR glue used allows the reader to leaf through the book or catalogue easily, as it makes the pages completely undetachable.

With a spine that won't break even after daily use, it's the ideal binding for long-lasting communication with quality, easy-to-read books! If your catalogue printing involves many pages, choosing a glued square back binding is essential as it allows you to add more than 40 pages to your catalogue.

This is the most common technique used for books. You can therefore choose this technique for printing paperbacks, textbooks, dissertations or brochures that are particularly rich in content.

We also offer other types of bindings, such as spiral binding or stapled binding, depending on the documents you wish to print. Please feel free to browse through the other products in our brochures and folders section to find out more. You can choose from various services such as dissertation printing, business report printing or university thesis printing, as well as various product variations such as company notebooks or magazines.

Frequently asked questions about catalogue printing

What are the uses of a catalogue or sales brochure?

The catalogue is the ideal advertising medium to help sales representatives during commercial prospecting and sales promotion operations at a trade fair or during a meeting with a customer. It can also be used to present a new range each year.

In the digital age, printing a catalogue can be an excellent relay for an e-commerce site by presenting, for example, extracts of the best-selling products or extracts of personalised offers when it is sent to a particular customer.

There are many uses for a sales brochure. All aim to improve sales efficiency. Even though many media are dematerialised, the catalogue remains one of the preferred means for companies to share their products and services with their customers. It has become an essential complementary element to an online marketing strategy.

Indeed, customers appreciate holding and touching a concrete and aesthetic object that they can leaf through everywhere like a book. Useful for consultation at the point of sale, it has the advantage of being able to be taken home to read at leisure.

It can also be distributed in a variety of ways, such as hand-to-hand at trade fairs, at a sales meeting or by direct mail in letterboxes. It can also be made available in a display stand located in a shop or a company lobby. In this case, care should be taken to ensure that it is easy to pick up by highlighting it sufficiently and encouraging visitors to help themselves, for example by means of a visible "help yourself" sign on the display rack in which they are placed.

It is because the catalogue is a true aesthetic object that it has retained all its power of attraction. Fashion catalogues and art exhibition catalogues bear witness to this.

How to prepare and create a successful sales brochure?

The success of your sales brochure will partly determine the success of your sales. Here are some tips for successful catalogue printing.

  • The cover: the cover should clearly make the reader want to open the document and leaf through it to discover your product range, the presentation of your services and your company. It should therefore be simple, attractive and extremely clear about what the reader will find inside. To do this, use strong visuals and add your company logo if possible. A catchphrase or a short explanatory sentence may also be appropriate.
  • Enrich your pages: youcan insert customer testimonials or call on experts. To make it a good relay of your digital strategy, a QR code will help link to additional information on your site with multimedia content (a product demonstration video for example).
  • Adopt a striking style: To be effective, the design of a sales brochure should follow the AIDA method ("Attention", "Interest", "Desire" and "Action"):
    • attract attention with a visual aspect of the cover that makes you want to open it;
    • arouse the reader's interest with text content and appropriate images;
    • to create a desire to learn about the company and its products and services;
    • It is a call to action, inviting the reader to take an interest in the commercial offer and to make a purchase.
  • Don't neglect the back cover when printing your booklet: when you go through a catalogue quickly, you often read the beginning and the end. The last pages should therefore make a good impression and contain concrete contact information such as your contact details, the addresses of your sales outlets, etc.

When ordering a catalogue online, you should remember to provide a text that will be printed on the edge of the catalogue (very often the name of the catalogue or the name of the range concerned, the brand, the season or the year). And be sure to maintain a margin on your text... to ensure that it is clearly visible and readable despite the binding.
