There are many reasons to attend a trade show:

In order to prepare your visit, it is important to know exactly why you want to participate in the exhibition (this will be very useful for the creation of your booth poster). But whatever your main motivation, your objective will always be to attract the attention of the participants to your stand.

To do this, it is essential that:

  • your stand is well laid out, welcoming and attractive,
  • the participants of the exhibition can easily find all the information related to your company,
  • your stand reflects the identity of your brand, whether it is in the colors of its graphic charter,

First, you must determine the format of your booth poster. This choice depends mainly on two elements:

  • the size of your booth and the space you will have to install your booth signs,
  • the distance at which the poster will be seen by visitors
  • the main objective and subject of each booth poster.

  • The A0 poster measures 841 x 1189 mm. This is a very large format booth poster that will allow you to make your booth visible to all the participants of the show, from the end of the aisle.
  • L'A1 poster poster measures 594 x 841 mm. The A1 format is an ideal format for designing a stand poster. It takes up less space than the A0, but still offers great visibility, even from a distance.
  • The A2 poster measures 420 x 594 mm. This format is the smallest of the large formats and offers a nice printable surface. A booth poster in this format will be seen by participants passing by your booth.
  • The A3 poster measures 297 x 420 mm. An A3 poster falls into the category of posters. Only trade show participants who are already present at your booth will be able to read the content. Placed behind the counter, the stand poster allows customers waiting for an exchange with a member of your sales team, to discover a product from your range or the different services your company offers.
  • The A4 poster measures 210 x 297 mm. These dimensions are those of a sheet of printer paper. This format is certainly the smallest that can be chosen to make a stand poster. Laminated, this stand poster can be a decorative element to display on your counter while presenting your flagship product or indicate the QR code allowing access to a demonstration video or to your company's website.

Next, you will choose the paper on which you want to have your stand poster printed. At Copymage, we advise you to choose a paper with a weight of 170 or 240 g/m2.

  • The 170 g/m2 paper is more economical because it is thinner. Your stand poster printed on this paper will be flexible. Unless it is glued on one of the rigid supports we offer at Copymage, frequent handling from one exhibition to another could damage it.
  • The 240 g/m2 paper offers a greater rigidity to your stand poster. It will be more resistant in time and can be easily installed on a wall without any other support.

How to make your trade show booth poster successful?

Creating a booth poster for a trade show is a big deal. However, even if you can't afford to hire a professional graphic designer, you can design your own booth poster by following the few tips we've gathered for you:

  • The tone of your booth poster: It depends on the objective you have defined before the show you are participating in: to introduce a new product, to make your brand known, to reach a new target population, etc. The tone of the poster must be coherent with the brand image of your company and with the people you are addressing in priority through your booth poster.
  • The content of your stand poster: it must be concise and clear. It must essentially indicate: the name of your company, the subject of the communication (a specific product, an event, an offer, etc.), a message addressed to the readers containing the call to action ("come in large numbers to our event", "take advantage of our offer", "discover our product", etc.) and the practical information (contact details, dates, places, etc.)
  • The illustrations of your booth poster: they are the main vector to attract the attention of your prospects towards your booth poster. You can use photographs or illustrations ordered from a professional or bought on the internet. In all cases, make sure that the resolution of the image is adapted to the size and use of your poster.
