The A4 format is a standard format and can be used for small posters, menus, folders and magazines. Its dimensions allow it to be easily adapted to a variety of uses, from the most traditional to the most complex. If you want to know more about the world's most popular printing paper, follow the guide.

All about A4

The A4 format is undoubtedly the most popular paper format for printing, whether for graphic design of advertising material or any other type of personal printing. Its dimensions are 210 mm x 297 mm or 21 cm x 29.4 cm, which gives a printable area of 625 cm² or 0.062 m².

Note that an A4 sheet of paper is equivalent to an A0 sheet that has been cut in half four times, or to half an A3 sheet. It is also twice as large as an A5 and four times as large as an A6. As for its weight, if an A0 sheet generally weighs 80 grams (80 gr/m2) then A4 weighs 16 times less, or 5 grams.

Whether you areprinting a simple document or an advertising poster, A4 is the format of choice. Defined by the ISO 216 standard, it is in some ways the most popular format in the A range, along with A3, as these are the most widely used formats in the world.

All communication materials printed in A4 format

A4 is an all-purpose format, as it can easily be used for all purposes, whether in the business sector or for personal use. Printing on A4 is both simple and practical, and is often used to create various advertising materials:

  •       Flyer,
  •       Advertising posters,
  •       Restaurant menus,
  •       Magazines,
  •       Flap folder,
  •       Commercial brochures, etc.

If you are planning to have a restaurant menu printed, a professional will advise you on the choice of orientation of the material for example. The A4 portrait format is recommended for printing brochures and, of course, restaurant menus. The A4 landscape format is recommended for printing event posters or leaflets.

Why entrust printing to a professional printer such as COPYMAGE?

By choosing to entrust us with the design of an A4 flyer, you benefit from know-how that you won't always find if you opt for in-house printing. And above all, you do not run the risk of compromising the printing of your A4 file.

You save on your A4 prints

This is a significant advantage when you consider that the cost of ink used for a personal printer will be quite expensive. In addition, you are not immune to errors in settings and may end up using much more ink than you think.

Contrary to popular belief, having your documents printed in A4 format by a professional will cost you less, especially since at COPYMAGE we offer sliding scale prices according to the volume of printing.

You benefit from high quality printing, with express delivery times.

At COPYMAGE, we have apowerful fleet of machines at our disposal, providing our customers with an efficient and accurate print job. Our equipment allows us to make the most appropriate adjustments to your A4 graphic design and thus ensure a quality result.

It is also worth remembering that the pace of printing will not be the same as if you were using a home printer. If you are planning to make a large print in A4 format then it will take you much longer than if you leave the project to us.

At COPYMAGE, we guarantee printing in 4 hours on a very large number of products in our range. For any order placed before 2.30 pm, we guarantee a print in the same day (delivery or refund according to the conditions set out in our GTC)

You have a choice of finishes

Finally, it is important to know that by entrusting us with the printing of your A4 files, you have access to various finishing options in addition to benefiting from excellent customer support for all your printing projects.

  •       The shape of the cut: you can choose between round, square, oval, rectangular... and of course, if none of the standard shapes suits you, you can opt for custom-made. You can cut your communication medium such as your flyer or your sticker in the shape of your logo for example and thus stand out from the competition.
  •     The laminate finish: whether matt, glossy or soft touch, the laminate layer will provide protection for your document as well as a qualitative touch that will enhance the colours.
  •       The varnish: selective or 3D varnish can highlight an essential element of your communication medium such as your logo for example.
  • Gilding: is very much encouraged to ennoble your document and give it a more festive, elegant look, ideal in these end-of-year periods.
  •       Laminating your restaurant poster or menu will be ideal for protecting it from multiple aggressions such as rain.
  •       The option of laminating on rigid supports (foam, etc.) is a finish that is often used to give volume to your photo poster and allow it to be hung on the wall without having to frame it.
  • Binders (stapled, spiral or glued square back) are very well known and are generally used to neatly assemble all multi-page folders (company balance sheet, brochure or magazines...) and to bind an A4 folder for example.

A professional printer will provide you with high quality finishes. Whether you want to print a business magazine, brochures or flyers, you will receive deliverables that meet your expectations in record time.
