Understanding the A5 format better

Before looking in detail at what the A5 size corresponds to, it is interesting to look back at ISO 216, which has become an international standard that classifies paper sizes according to the dimensions of the sheet.

According to the standard, all sizes are derived from the subdivision of a sheet and in our case, a sheet of size A5 is for example a subgroup of the A series. As a reminder, the A0 format is the largest of the series and the A10 format is the smallest.

An A5 size is obtained by folding an A4 sheet in half, widthwise. It has the dimensions 148 x 210 mm or 14.8 x 21 centimetres and is often used for printing advertising flyers.
